E.A. Rix forms Rix and Firth to focus on his inventions and building a range of products including locomotives and major steel and iron structures

Company Headquarters in downtown San Francisco is destroyed in the earthquake. Rix reestablishes and forms the Rix Compressed Air and Drill Company.
