RELIEF VALVE SETTING SECURITY

Clause:

"All relief valves, both individual and those in component assemblies, must be providedwith a positive means to prevent unauthorized manipulation of the adjustingmechanism once the valve has been finally set by the manufacturer or purchaser. Ameans for allowing the installation of a lockwire is preferred unless configurationprecludes this type of seal.Receipt of valves that are required to be provided by the supplier with a “Relief ValveSetting Certificate” will not be accepted by the purchaser without the lockwire installed.Valves that are not required to be provided with a “Relief Valve Setting Certificate” areacceptable with or without lockwire installed."
