COMPLEX / CRITICAL PART (C/C)

Clause:

"This part is designated by the Buyer as complex/critical (C/C). It requires an increasedlevel of assurance that all technical requirements and certifications are understood andsatisfied. The Buyer will perform (at Buyer’s option) a rigorous technical assessment ofthe Seller’s or Seller’s subcontractors’ capability, understanding, and experience priorto (or after) Purchase Order award, including but not limited to the following areas:· program/project management· technician/craftsmen qualifications· work control processes· material control processes· manufacturing controls (planning, machining, fabrication, etc)· Subcontractor oversight/management· welding and inspection qualifications· quality management system· final assembly· testing and certificationThe Buyer will schedule a pre-award meeting to discuss requirements and detailedexpectations, at Seller’s convenience. Buyer will hold (at Buyer’s option) a Kickoffmeeting upon award of the Purchase Order.The Buyer will contact the Seller to initiate and set up actions required to satisfy C/Crequirements. Seller shall direct requests for a pre-award meeting or otherquestions/actions regarding these C/C requirements to the Supply Chain Procurementrepresentative.The Seller shall make the Buyer aware of changes in Seller’s organization or operationsaffecting this contract, including changes in subcontractors utilized, after thecompletion of the technical assessment."
